4th Degree Exemplification - Saturday, July 19, 2025
25 new Sir Knights were exemplified at St. Andrew Roman Catholic Church in Bridgeport. Thanks to assisting St Francis X. Cabrini Assembly 136. Great job by the Degree team, color corps, flag team and Masters staff.

A Father and Son drove from Tupper Lake, NY, a 6 hour drive to come take their 4th Degree with us. It was an honor to have a visiting District Master from Massachusetts, Stanley Ciukaj.

​Update from DM Chris Randall: SK Robert Ciofani had a fall, just prior to the Exemplification, at St. Andrew Church and was taken to the hospital. Thank you for your prayers and inquiries. "Bobby" is doing fine, it appears that he was dehydrated, causing him to pass out and fortunately did not receive harmful damage from his fall.

Ordination & Installation of a New Bishop of Norwich - Tuesday, April 29, 2025
The Knights of Columbus Fourth Degree Honor Guard turned out in strong numbers to support the newest Bishop of Norwich. A total of 38 Sir Knights were present for this momentous occasion. On Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at 2 p.m., the Most Reverend Richard F. Reidy was Ordained as the Sixth Bishop of Norwich, Connecticut, during a solemn Mass of Episcopal Ordination at the Cathedral of Saint Patrick. The Cathedral was filled to capacity, with overflow crowds gathered both in the main Church and the Parish Center below. Bishop Reidy previously served as Vicar General of the Diocese of Worcester, Massachusetts, and was appointed to his new role by Pope Francis in February.

Spanish 4th Degree Exemplification - Sunday, March 23, 2025
Today 13 new Sir Knights were exemplified at a special Spanish Exemplification at St Peter’s Church in Bridgeport. Congratulations to Ramon Jimenez for being the honoree. Special thanks to General Philip Sheridan Assembly 107 for assisting, the Spanish exemplification team, flag team, color corps and Master’s staff for making it a special day for the candidates and their families.


​ 125th Exemplification - February 22, 2025
Our CT District was represented in candidates and Honor Guards members at the special Exemplification hosted by Supreme. It was held at St. Patrick's Cathedral in New York City, close to where the original was held 125 years ago. A new format was introduced that is NOW open to the public. Due to so many pictures a special page was made.

Pro-Life Mass - January 19, 2025
The District provided an Honor Guard of 21 Sir Knights for the annual Pro-Life Mass and baby shower sponsored by the CT State Council at St. Mary’s church in New Haven. The Mass was celebrated by Archbishop Christopher Coyne. We had the honor of Supreme Master Mike McCusker join us in colors. Thanks to Mary Anne Cruz for the beautiful pictures. The 1st Masters meeting held under new CT District Master Chris Randall which was hosted by Father McGivney Assembly 102. The meeting took place at Our Lady Mt. Camel Church in Meriden, CT. Mass was celebrated by Father Dominic of Our Lady of Mt. Camel at 8am followed by Breakfast prepared by Assembly 102 and the Staff Meeting.

Veterans Day, November 11, 2024
On Veterans Day, Christopher Columbus Assembly #1858 handed out gift bags and shirts to the Veterans at the Regency House Health and Rehabilitation Center in Wallingford, CT.

Diocese of Bridgeport Annual Blue Mass, November 17, 2024
The District provided an honor guard for the Diocese of Bridgeport Annual Blue Mass on Sunday, November 17th. The Mass was celebrated by Bishop Frank Caggiano and took place at St Augustine Cathedral in Bridgeport. The annual observance recognizes the service and commitment of police, firefighters, dispatchers and emergency medical technicians. Contingents from Bridgeport, Norwalk, Greenwich, Ridgefield and Danbury attended the event.

The Blue Mass takes its name from the blue uniforms that police, fire and emergency services personnel wear. The Mass was begun to celebrate the heroism of those who died during the 9/11 terrorists attacks in New York, Pennsylvania and Washington.

4th Degree Exemplification, October 12, 2024
Congratulations to the 27 new Sir Knights that were exemplified at St Martha’s Church in Enfield, CT on Saturday, October 12th. A special thanks to Rev. William P. Kilcoyne Assembly 116 for hosting and assisting to make this a beautiful day. Great job by new District Master Chris Randall and the Degree team. Congratulations to honoree Sir Knight Robert Metzler.

Newington Veterans Medical Center Visit, October 6, 2024
Last week, Assembly 3000 from West Hartford teamed up with Assembly 99 from Danbury for a special visit to the Newington Veterans Medical Center. Together, we handed out ice cream to all the veterans who came in for appointments that day.

Following this, the Saint John Paul II Assembly 3000 presented Pam Moran, Director of Volunteers, with the August collections from our West Hartford Councils and Churches. The donation included 14 large boxes of supplies requested by the veterans, along with 70 gift cards valued at $25 each.

at Sacred Heart University - August 27, 2024

Members of the District of CT Honor Guard were invited to take part in the dedication of 2 new dorms at Sacred Heart University. The dorms were dedicated to St. Catherine of Sienna & Blessed Michael McGivney. Among the guests were the great grand nephew of Blessed McGivney, John Walsh & his wife Kay along with Brian Caulfield, Vice Postulator for the Canonization Cause for Blessed Michael J. McGivney.

​Feast Day for Blessed Michael McGivney in Norwalk - August 13, 2024
District Master Kevin Donovan joined the Bishop Fenwick Assembly 100 Honor Guard for Knights of Columbus St. Matthew #14360’s Mass in honor of the Feast Day for Blessed Michael McGivney at St Matthew Church in Norwalk. At the conclusion of Mass, the honor guard took a photo with St Matthew Pastor Father Frank Hoffmann by the Blessed Michael McGivney statue at the Father Michael McGivney Playground .

Kevin hosted a dinner at Brazi's Italian Restaurant in New Haven to thank his staff and exemplification team for their hard work over the last few years.

Swim Across The Sound - Sunday, August 4, 2024
The District provided an Honor Guard of 12 Sir Knights for the 27th Annual Memorial Service for St. Vincent’s Medical Center Annual Swim Across the Sound at Captains Cove in Bridgeport.


District Staff Meeting August 3, 2024
The last Masters meeting held under outgoing CT District Master Kevin Donovan was hosted by
Knights of Columbus Bishop Fenwick Assembly 100. The meeting took place at Our Lady of Fatima Church in Wilton. Mass celebrated by Father Reggie, Pastor of Our Lady of Fatima at 8am followed by Breakfast prepared by Assembly 100 and the Staff Meeting.  District Master Kevin thanked his staff and state 4th Degree members for their great support over the last 4 years. 704 Knights were exemplified in the last 4 years which is the most in the Bishop James Healy Province. There are currently 4,814 Sir Knights in New England Also, our District led the province in Star Assembly recipients in the last 4 years. SK Chris Komondy presented a Past District Master medal and sword case on behalf of Former District Master Allyn Temple.

​Today the CT District held 4th Degree exemplification in Spanish at St Peter’s Church in Bridgeport. 19 new Sir Knights were exemplified. Thanks to the degree team, honor guard and Sheridan Assembly 107 for making this a memorable day. Congratulations to exemplification honoree Sir Knight Herb Ramirez.

Mass in Honor of Blessed Michael J. McGivney in Bridgeport - May 27, 2024

Today, Diocese of Bridgeport Bishop Frank J. Caggiano celebrated a Mass in honor of Blessed Michael J. McGivney and the Knights of Columbus in the Bridgeport Diocese, at the Cathedral of St Augustine in Bridgeport. The Supreme Council gifted the diocese a first class relic of Blessed Michael J McGivney. With over 300 in attendance, CT State Council officers were represented along with members of all councils from the Bridgeport Diocese as well as others from around the state. CT State Council Chaplain Father Jeffrey Romans with many other council chaplains concelebrated the Mass. There were 39 members in the honor guard.
At the conclusion of the Mass, CT State Deputy Joe Rahtelli thanked the Bishop for his support and everyone for being in attendance. Bishop James Healy Province

Biennial District Meeting - April 6, 2024
​The CT District Biennial Meeting was held in the Msgr John Sabia Social Hall at St. Jude Parish in Monroe on Saturday, April 6th.

​The election to elect the next CT District Master was held. The 3 candidates submitted to Supreme are as follows: 1. SK Chris Randall, 2. SK George Ribellino, 3. SK Cristito Cruz

The CT District led the Bishop James Healy Province with the most earned Star Assembly Awards.

Toiletries For Homeless Veterans - March 25, 2024

​The Father James Larkin Assembly No. 3627, collected toiletries for the Veterans living at the “Homes For The Brave” at the Masses on 3/23 & 3/24/2024. At both St Agnes and St Mary Churches of Precious Blood Parish. Homes For The Brave’s mission is to provide shelter, support, and hope to our nation's brave Veterans who have served our country. Toiletries were delivered to the Homes For The Brave in Bridgeport, CT by Faithful Navigator Art Sutton and Faithful Comptroller Pat Eisenman on March 25th.

Homes For The Brave in Bridgeport, CT is a 42-bed transitional housing program available to male Veterans and non-veterans who are experiencing homeless. The program provides housing, case management, and vocational services. In addition, they operate The PFC Nicholas A. Madaras Home, a community-based 14 bed transitional home for Women Veterans experiencing homelessness in Connecticut; Homes for the Brave – West Haven, a transitional housing program, consisting of two houses, for male Veterans who are experiencing homelessness; Waldorf Permanent Supportive Housing provides 9 units of permanent supportive housing with case management services to formerly homeless Veterans; a walk-in, drop-in Veterans Service Center offering immediate basic need services and referrals to long-term services to any Veteran experiencing homelessness or at risk of being homeless; and they provide vocational services to any Veteran experiencing homelessness at our transitional housing program.

Mass for The Missionaries of Charity - 9/5/2023

Bishop Caggiano celebrated mass for the Missionaries of Charity on Sept. 5, 2023, the feast day of Mother Teresa, at St. Peter's in Bridgeport. St. Peter's is home for the Missionaries of Charity in the Bridgeport Diocese. District Master Kevin Donovan and District Marshal Scott Criscuolo joined members of The General Philip Sheridan Assembly 107 Color Corps in providing an Honor Guard. We were privileged to be joined by Supreme Knight and Mrs. Patrick Kelly.

​The Bishop Fenwick Assembly 100 4th Annual Patriot Dinner was sponsored by SK Mike Purdy and Riverside Cemetery and benefited the Norwalk Police Activities League - PAL.  The dinner raised $1,100!  The check was presented to Norwalk, CT Police Department Officer Matt Sauer and the Norwalk Public Safety Cadets.  The Norwalk Public Safety Cadets were such a big help with kitchen clean up.  A special thanks to Patriot Dinner Co-Chair Al Latte and the Sir Knights and St Ann volunteers for putting together a phenomenal dinner.

Our guest speaker former Norwalk Public Safety Cadet Captain and West Hartford Police Officer Noah Velez gave an inspiring and heartfelt speech.  In addition the 50/50 raffle raised $1,040 for youth of the  Norwalk Public Safety Cadets to purchase supplies and apparel.

​Members of Bishop Fenwick Assembly 100 helped do Spring Cleaning at Mill Pond Park in Norwalk as part of the Mayor’s Clean City Initiative. Hundreds of pounds of trash was removed.

Members of the Bishop Fenwick Assembly 100 Honor Guard took part in Church of the Assumption Council 3688’s Mass of Thanksgiving for Blessed Michael McGivney. Thanks to Council 13228 GK Terry Morgan for bringing the 2nd Class Blessed McGivney.

​Full Video coverage of the last 11 hours (Sunday, 11/1/2020) at St. Mary's Church in New Haven. Sir Knights from all around the Connecticut District continuously posted in Colors at the sarcophagus of Blessed Father Michael J. McGivney from Friday evening through the 6pm on Sunday evening, around the clock. They then participated in the Mass of Thanksgiving during the processional & recessional. A big thank you to those who made the extra effort to post all those hours. God bless.
